Matei has been advising businesses as an investment banker and strategy consultant for more than 20 years. Since 2010, he has completed 30+ M&A transactions with an aggregate value of $5+ billion.
Prior to founding Sandfox, Matei was a senior banker at Petsky Prunier (Canaccord Genuity), Equiteq, and AGC Partners. He started his investment banking career at Jefferies & Co., executing transactions across technology, healthcare, media, telecom, and other industries. Matei holds an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business and graduated with honors from Cornell University with a degree in Cognitive Psychology and a minor in Computer Science.
Prior to joining Sandfox in early 2020, Brendan worked at Takenaka Partners, specializing in cross-border M&A transactions. Previously he was at BDO, performing financial statement analysis for corporations and partnerships. He began his career in the financial planning & analysis team at the Tennis Channel.
Brendan holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Curtis has seven years of financial services experience covering M&A advisory, capital raising, and financial analysis for growing technology companies.
Prior to joining Sandfox, Curtis was an investment banker at Telos Advisors, where he provided M&A advisory and capital raising services to emerging growth technology companies in the digital media, eCommerce, and software sectors. Earlier in his career, he held finance positions at Cascadia Capital, Russell Investments, and Investco Financial Corporation. Curtis holds a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Washington, Michael G. Foster School of Business.
Zachary joined Sandfox in 2019 with more than 10 years of financial services experience, most recently as an instructor to global investment banks, private equity firms and corporations. His core curriculum included financial statement analysis, corporate valuation, financial modeling and data analytics.
Previously, Zachary spent three years as an investment banker at Jefferies & Co., executing transactions for technology, media and telecom clients. He began his career in Raytheon’s Financial Leadership Development Program, specializing in FP&A, Business Development and Strategy across business units. Zachary holds dual degrees in Physics and Finance from Boston College, Carroll School of Management.
Rubin has four years of financial services experience encompassing financial analysis, valuation, financial modeling, and investment analysis.
Prior to joining Sandfox, Rubin was an investment banker at BCMS, advising clients on various sell-side strategies. He began his career at Trinity Industries, supporting the FP&A team’s core function of financial reporting and providing earnings guidance.
Rubin earned a B.A. in Finance from Baylor University, Hankamer School of Business, graduating with honors.
